Yesterday, John and I made a trip to Montgomery for a few hours. I haven’t been able to show him around the area where I’m now working so I planned a special date for us! First, we headed to Winton Blount Cultural Park (where the Walk I’m planning for NAMI Alabama will be held in September) to look around. We were excited to try out our new Sony A6000 camera with the kit lens and a Sony e-mount 55-210mm lens (which we used for most of the pictures). We walked around some and took photos before making an unexpected pit-stop at work to help with something. We then drove through downtown and walked down to Riverwalk and around the city a little. Of course, we ended the day with an ice cream cone and a stop at Best Buy (John’s request).

This is our favorite in terms of detail. We love mallards!

We had a great time messing with the new camera and looking at the beautiful birds and views at Blount Park. Enjoy these photos we took (amateur, but we still like them) and let us know what you like to do in Montgomery, AL! Hint: click on the photos to look through each individually.
