Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope your first week of 2018 has been productive and encouraging. This week has been full of planning time for the blog and I’m super excited to share everything I’ve got coming for the month of January. I’d say 2018 is off to a pretty great start with a few collabs in the works and loads of ideas ready to bring to fruition!

A couple days off at the end of the week is a great reward for working hard all week, right? If you really want to reward yourself, though, you’ll have to check out this smoothie recipe, which is a huge hit in our house! I thought about naming it the Stanley Smoothie because I’m an alliterative genius but figured this name would be better for your Pinterest boards. This has become our favorite smoothie because it is super quick to whip up, DELICIOUS to drink, and requires very minimal cleanup!

We make smoothies several times a week, and we pretty much use this same recipe every time! Our Ninja Blender is one of the best gifts we’ve ever received and we will use it for many years. We recommend the blender below and we think the single serve cups are extremely helpful to have as well! You can buy them in a set or separately. We also love our Pyrex measuring cups and use these when we want to make more precise smoothies- though most of the time we just measure by eye. If you want to snag one of these items on Amazon, make sure to click the links below to make your way to your favorite online shop!

These glorious smoothies couldn’t be any easier to make! We normally put the ingredients into the cup in the following order: banana, berries, milk, honey, yogurt (not sure if this makes much of a difference, though). I blend this thoroughly, for about 20 seconds to get the berry seeds as small as possible.

I know these aren’t the healthiest smoothies you’ve ever seen, and they definitely taste more like a mix of a smoothie and a milkshake, but they sure are good. To make them healthier, you can choose skim or almond milk, low-fat yogurt, and splenda in place of honey! A few other options I’ve thought of and tried were to include matcha green tea powder for antioxidants and fiber or coconut oil as a healthy fat.
