Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you had a fantastic weekend and are ready for an amazing, productive week. Part of my preparation for the upcoming week is grocery shopping and doing some basic prep to make my lunches for the week come together faster! In the last few weeks, I’ve been making lots of salads. I’ve written before in my “Tips For Eating Healthy On The Go” post about how vital it is to have variety in your healthy eating diet. A few people have mentioned to me recently that they feel stuck with their salad choices and that they are in need of something new. If you want to include salads in your diet more often but you only have one go-to salad, the lack of variety will make it hard to keep that routine going for long. Combat that impending food boredom by switching it up and trying some new salad combos! I’m here to bring you some extra ideas today.

There are loads of health benefits to eating salads regularly, so why not up your green intake this week with me? Salads are a fantastic source of fiber (to help keep things moving and help you feel full) and antioxidants (to help fight and prevent damage), a fantastic way of cutting calories, and a great way of introducing more good fats into your diet. One good fat is avocado which is “thought to help protect against cancer and heart disease” according to Web MD.

Below are 5 different salad combos to bring some very different tasting salads into your week. Choose a base for your salad depending on what you like! Spinach is an excellent source of protein, so try to include some, especially if you are making a salad without any other significant sources of protein. Cook your protein whichever way you’d prefer! Grilling and baking tend to be the healthier ways to cook, instead of pan frying or sauteeing.

I post affiliate links in some of my blog posts. When you purchase something through these affiliate links, you are supporting Hey, Haley at no additional cost to yourself. I’ll never try to sell something that I wouldn’t buy myself!
