Is it just me, or do we only hear about post-wedding weight gain in an “it is how it is” kind of way, accompanied by a shrug? Everyone talks about how your body will change after having kids, but why aren’t we talking about the changes that occur for many Continue Reading
One year ago today, we stood at the altar and made sacred promises to love each other and serve each other until death do us part. One year ago today, we celebrated with dear friends and family, ate cake, and danced for hours. One year ago today, we became a Continue Reading
4 years ago today, a sweet and nervous John showed up at my door to take me on our first date. We ate at Niffer’s (an Auburn classic), watched a movie (Gravity, I think), and enjoyed getting to know each other better. We had met at the Auburn BCM Beach Continue Reading
Congrats, you’re engaged! After the confetti settles and the engagement party ends, it is time to start planning the day you’ve been looking forward to your whole life. I hope this wedding registry guide will help answer a few questions about when, where, and what to register for! I polled Continue Reading
We landed in Atlanta after a torturous last travel day of our honeymoon consisting of missed flights, and extreme delays. We got to the car only to see that it was dead (just look up “dead battery on an electric car” to understand our confusion). And just minutes into our Continue Reading
August 5, 2017 was the best day of our lives thus far. We held hands, spoke our vows, cried a little, and left as husband and wife. We feel so blessed by the beautiful day that we got to spend with our family and friends. We had planned our honeymoon Continue Reading
Yesterday, John and I made a trip to Montgomery for a few hours. I haven’t been able to show him around the area where I’m now working so I planned a special date for us! First, we headed to Winton Blount Cultural Park (where the Walk I’m planning for NAMI Alabama will be held in September) to look around. We were excited to try out our new Sony A6000 camera with the kit lens and a Sony e-mount 55-210mm lens (which we used for most of the pictures). We walked around some and took photos before making an unexpected pit-stop at work to help with something. We then drove through downtown and walked down to Riverwalk and around the city a little. Of course, we ended the day with an ice cream cone and a stop at Best Buy (John’s request).
This is our favorite in terms of detail. We love mallards!
We had a great time messing with the new camera and looking at the beautiful birds and views at Blount Park. Enjoy these photos we took (amateur, but we still like them) and let us know what you like to do in Montgomery, AL! Hint: click on the photos to look through each individually.
