(I just came up with the title for this post and I’m pretty proud of it. )
I was so excited for our third anniversary that I planned a little weekend trip to Savannah, Georgia: one of John’s favorite places and somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit! We ate AMAZING food at Leopold’s Ice Cream, Fiddler’s Crab House, and Kayak Cafe. We visited the beautiful squares and Forsyth Park. We drove through Bonaventure Cemetery. We walked over 22,000 steps (about the same as a day at Disney!) throughout the city and along the riverfront. We visited the “most beautiful street in the south” and took pictures where Tom Hanks once sat while filming Forrest Gump. We stopped at the beach and Tybee Island LightHouse but didn’t stay long because it was COLD. John posed with the ugliest least attractive building we found. We admired the scenery and accidentally got a video of a seagull relieving himself. It was a wonderful weekend. So thankful for my love and for this trip with him!
On the last day of our trip, we stopped by West Elm and fell in love with a super cool fish tank. Needless to say, we got entirely too excited and bought it. We spent the whole ride home planning what kind of fish and supplies we were going to get. After a stop at Petco, we had a new fish baby named Yoda and here he is now! Stay tuned for a fish bowl overhaul in the future.
